I would like to take a minute to explain all the new changes I have been making to my blog. I also wanted to stress that I do not plan to remove any of my old crochet pattern designs! I did however, feel this announcement was warranted because I watermarked a lot of the images and I just don’t know when (or if) I’ll ever get around to replacing all of those. I wanted to make it clear that I am SheMakesCrochet and those designs are mine, I just have since changed my name.
I am excited to share that I have decided to rename myself. Please let me introduce you to – A Stitch Whimsy
Like so many of you, I have numerous craft hobbies that bring me joy. Over the past several years, I have come to realize that I am most fulfilled when I am making things I absolutely love and that happens when I have the freedom to follow my creative whims.
My intention with this change is to expand what I share. I plan to start offering finished items for purchase – a new endeavor for me. I want to make items that bring me joy, all the while knowing that eventually those items will find homes with someone somewhere who loves them. I also plan to continue to offer crochet patterns! Even better though is that I feel inspired that this new direction will enable me to grow as a designer and stretch myself to offer other types of patterns or useful tools for other craft-minded people.
I anticipate these changes will make things more organized for all of us, while also providing me the space to readily bounce around between different crafts and between creating and designing. I’m already doing that, but now I will have the platform to showcase and organize it all! Thank you so much for being here.
Hi there. Love your new name. In your collection you mention a pattern for the Crocheted dolls. Where would I find it. The dolls are so adorable…I would like to make them all.
Thx and Happy Thanksgiving from ayour Canadian neighbour.
They are on my blog – all of those are free so there aren’t any PDF downloads, but hopefully one day there will be options for that too. If you go to my blog and scroll down through the posts you can find them all. If you use ravelry, my designer page lists each pattern and links directly to each individual pattern as a possible more convenient solution. I hope that helps! I hope to have things better organized some day – it’s a learning process for me for sure. Let me know if you can’t find it!
